Apuñaleado en Pavas (Pavas Stabbing)

Miércoles 7 de Diciembre:

Fue despachada la unidad 05 como apoyo a la unidad de Escazú que llegó al incidente como primera respuesta. Se trataba de un hombre con una profunda herida de arma blanca a nivel de su escápula derecha, con un sangrado abundante. El paciente se mostraba con bastante ansiedad, no podía hablar (no por un problema neurológico sino por su incapacidad de consumir aire) y a la auscultación en hemitórax derecho había ausencia total de ruidos respiratorios. Adicionalmente, presentaba enfisema subcutáneo. Se trasladó al Hospital San Juan de Dios.

December, Wednesday 7th 2005:

Unit 05 was dispatched to provide ALS for another Red Cross of Escazu that arrived at the scene as first response. An adult male was stabbed deep into his back, near the right scapula, injury that bled profusely. The patient was very axious, could not talk because of the enormous lack of breath he was suffering, and the auscultation of his right hemithorax releaved total absence of respiratory sounds (probable an open pneumothorax). Additionaly, the presented subcutaneous emphysema. He was transported in critical condition to Hospital San Juan de Dios.
