Longino Soto


Un Domingo de Noviembre:

Un domingo en la noche (día exacto no determinado) fuimos despachados para atender en su residencia al Dr. Longino Soto, el cual refería según incidente un aumento en la presión arterial y un dolor precordial de moderada intensidad. A la valoración, tenía sus signos vitales en rangos normales y el dolor era intermitente. Se trasladó al Hospital México. Aunque inicialmente se creyó que el problema era de origen cardiaco, el monitor no reveló nada importante, y luego se determinó que el problema era en su vesícula. La noticia es de La Nación.

A November's Sunday:

One Sunday night we were dispatched to assisst a call at the residence of Dr. Longino Soto, who refered (according to the dispatch information) an alarming increase in blood pressure and a precordial pain of moderate intensity. For those of you who do not know who Dr. Longino Soto is, he was the first doctor to execute a heart transplant in Costa Rica. Besides, he is also one of the most respect cardiologists in the country. You can say he is nationaly well-known person. Assessment revealed vital signs in normal ranges and an intermitent chest pain. We transported him to Hospital Mexico (his workplace). Although it was initially believed that the problemas had a cardiac origin, EKG releaved nothing important other than a normal sinus rythm, and it was later determined that the problem was located at the vesicle.
