Behind Scenes: Rolling Clockwork

Pues no puedo estar más que agradecido con la comunidad en Internet, pues aunque el video Rolling Clockwork fue publicado en Exposureroom y no en Vimeo, en menos de un día el video logró más hits que el video de Austria en dos meses. Aún así queda mucha técnica por mejorar, especialmente en la filmación de escenas en baja luz y en la edición. Ahorita estoy pensando en qué hacer para el próximo video, sugerencias?

Para aquellos curiosos sobre la producción del video, les comento que las tomas fueron hechas en tres días, más aproximadamente dos días de edición. En total, se procesaron cerca de 68GB en videos en alta definición. Las tomas fueron echas en su totalidad con la cámara Canon 7D, y los lentes 50mm f/1.4, 17-55mm f/2.8 IS y el Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 OS. La edición de color, un aspecto absolutamente crítico para que el video fuese visualmente llamativo, le intenté hacer inicialmente en Apple Color, pero este software terminó siendo demasiado pro para mí, así que el color grading se hizo en Magic Bullet Looks para Final Cut Pro. Súper contento y satisfecho con este software, sumamente poderoso y fácil de usar.

So, I can't be but thankful to the Internet audience, since the Rolling Clockwork video achieve more hits in less than one day, than the Austria video achieved in two months! There is still a lot of room for improvement, specially on low-light scenes and editing, but as everything in life, this is just a learning process. I am now thinking of what to do as the next project, any suggestions?

For those curious about the production of this video, let me tell you that it took three days of shooting plus two days of editing. In total, 68GB of HD footage was filmed. All shots were taken with the Canon 7D, and the lenses Canon 50mm f/1.4, Canon 15-55mm f/2.8 IS and Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 OS. Initially, I wanted to do the color gradin on Apple Color, but the software turned out to be too pro for me, so I reverted to Magic Bullet Looks for Final Cut Pro. I am very happy with this software, it is very powerful and easy to use.
