Verona, igual que las anteriores destinaciones en este viaje, forma parte del patrimonio histórico de la humanidad de la UNESCO, por su estructura urbana y su arquitectura. Es una ciudad que se ha desarrollado ininterrumpidamente durante dos mil años.

En Verona se haya un estadio antiguo estilo el coliseo romano, mucho más pequeño, llamado L’Arena di Verona. La ciudad posee grandes murallas, y diversos lugares de gran interés. De todas formas, por doquier se hayan numerosas expresiones de arte y exquisita arquitectura.

Verona es la ciudad donde Shakespeare se inspiró para escribir la historia de amor de Romeo y Julieta. Aquí, en un pequeño jardín, se encuentra la Casa di Giuglietta (casa de Julieta), con el famoso balcón, donde supuestamente se desarrollaron los eventos de esta famosa historia trágica.

Cruzando el río Adigio, se encuentra el castillo de San Pedro, construido sobre una colina, donde se obtiene una impresionante vista de altura sobre toda la ciudad y parte del valle servido por este río.

Después de cuatro ajetreados días de paseo, es hora de tomar un descanso. Por eso, durante el día de mañana, disfrutaremos simplemente del pueblo donde está nuestro hotel, Sirmione.

Verona, as all our previous destinations, belongs to the UNESCO world heritage. It is a city that has developed uninterruptedly for two thousand years.

At Verona you can find a big colosseum, not as big as that in Rome, but impressive enough to earn a picture. This ancient theater is called L’Arena di Verona. The city possesses lot of places of interest. Wherever you go, you’ll find great expressions of art and architecture.

Verona is the city where Shakespeare was inspired to write the story about Romeo and Juliet. Here, on a tiny garden, one can visit the famous balcony of Juliet (Casa di Giuglietta), where the events of the story supposedly were developed.

Crossing the Adige river, you will find Saint Peter’s castle, built on top of a hill, where one can find an impressive view of the whole city of Verona and part of the valley served by this important river.

After four busy (and exhausting) days of intensive traveling, tomorrow it’s time to take a break. Therefore, we will make a pause and stay the whole day on our hotel, and enjoy the wonders of the town of Sirmione.
